Post 3 came back in the seventh to tie it up with a two-run home run. The Rangers then got four runs in the eighth to take their final lead of the game and season. Mike White
Rangers lose close one vs Sweeney
The Durand Haley Rangers of Post 66 in Plymouth, NH tried to finish the remaining two district games on the schedule with a win. Unfortunately the Rangers could not hold on to a 7-6 lead in the seventh, and eventually fell by a score of 10-7 to Henry J. Sweeney Post 2 of Manchester. Sweeney (14-6) was in desperate need of a win, a loss knocks them out of the playoffs, a win gains them atleast a tie in the playoff hunt. The Rangers were down by a score of 6-4 in the bottom of the sixth when Mike White (Lisbon, NH) hit a three run homer to put the Rangers ahead by one. Shortly after in the top of the seventh, following a hit and two walks, Sweeney hit a grand slam to make the score 10-7 which was the final score. The Rangers close out their District A season schedule tomorrow against Dover Post 7.
